This is an original material developed over three years with a tannery in Himeji (1), using North American hides, under the motto "Aim for an earlobe-like feel."

Through a process called chrome tanning (2), we tan leather from 300 hides at once and impregnate it with oil twice, among other steps, taking twice as long as usual to achieve the ideal texture.

It is finished using a "natural finish" method, which is the closest equivalent to a human's "bare skin" in that it preserves the natural texture of the cowhide as much as possible.

Initially, it feels moist and conforms to the hand, and as it is used, it gradually develops a sheen and firmness, characteristic of increasing its leather-like texture.

Natural finish materials are breathable and absorbent. Please be aware that if water, oil, perfume, cosmetics, etc., adhere to it, they may penetrate the leather's fibers and cause discoloration.

(1) "Tannery" = "A factory that processes raw hides into leather."

(2) "Tanning" = "The process of removing unwanted proteins and fats from raw animal hides and treating them with chemicals to make them durable, heat-resistant, and flexible, ready for use in products."
"Chrome" refers to the chemical used in this process.
