Super Soft

The goal was the softness of an earlobe. Super Soft is kawa-kawa's original cowhide, developed over three years with a tanner in Himeji, from North American hides. Chrome-tanned, fed with oil twice — double the usual process — and finished almost bare — nearly uncoated, like skin with nothing on it. It settles into the hand at once, then gains sheen and body with use. It is the defining leather of many kawa-kawa bags.
